As social media comes of age, video has emerged as the choice of Gen Z. Tape is a collaborative video platform dreamt up by a visionary team with their finger on the teen pulse. The alpha version of the Tape app was met with resounding popularity and the platform is poised to break into the mainstream in 2016.
Tape needed an identity they could present to consumers, brand partners, and investors. To capture the spirit of Tape, our challenge was to create a versatile brand system that works just as well in fundraising decks as it does on a step and repeat.
Young people are looking for a place to make authentic connections, so we positioned Tape as a platform to celebrate everyday moments. Highlighting Tape’s roots in video, the mark is a playful representation of a play button. A colorful brand system dresses the brand up and down to fit any occasion.
The Tape team immediately put their new brand to work telling their story to potential investors and brand partners. The brand system infuses every presentation and brand partnership with the essence of Tape as they pave their way through the new social media landscape.
